Terms of use
Last updated [DATE]
These terms are an agreement between you and [OWNER NAME OR COMPANY] ("we", "us"), who run Bumper Balls at [WEBSITE ADDRESS]. By playing, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the game.
1. Who can play for money
- Free play is open to everyone.
- To play paid matches you must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live, if higher), and paid skill games must be legal where you are. You are responsible for checking this.
- Paid matches are not offered in [LIST OF EXCLUDED COUNTRIES / STATES, OR REMOVE THIS LINE].
- We may refuse or stop paid play for anyone, for example if we think the law doesn't allow it or you broke these terms.
2. How paid matches work
- Each player in a match pays the same entry in ETH on Robinhood Chain into a smart contract. The winner gets the whole pot minus a house cut of [5]%, which goes to us.
- The game server runs the match and decides the result. The contract only pays a player who was actually in that match.
- If a match doesn't fill in time, or isn't finished in time, every player can take their entry back from the contract. If the server stops a match before it ends, everyone is refunded.
- Transactions on the blockchain are final. We can't reverse them, and we can't recover ETH sent to the wrong address or the wrong network.
- You pay the network's gas fees for your own transactions.
3. Your game wallet
- When you sign in, our sign-in provider, Privy, creates a wallet for you. You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in (email or Google account).
- You can send your ETH out of that wallet at any time from your account panel.
- We never hold your wallet's keys and can't move your ETH for you.
4. Fair play
- No cheating, bots, scripts, automation, or teaming up with other players in a match.
- No multiple accounts to get around limits, and no exploiting bugs.
- Usernames must not be offensive or pretend to be someone else.
- If we believe a match was played unfairly, we may refuse to sign its result, which refunds the match, and we may block the accounts involved.
5. Risks
- You can lose the ETH you put into a match.
- The value of ETH changes.
- The smart contract has been tested but not professionally audited. Software, networks and blockchains can fail, be attacked or go down, and that may delay or prevent payouts or refunds.
- Play only with money you can afford to lose.
6. No warranty, limited liability
The game is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you is limited to the entry fees you paid in the 30 days before the claim, unless the law requires otherwise.
7. Changes
We may change the game or these terms. If we make a big change to these terms, we'll show the new date at the top. Playing after a change means you accept it.
8. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of [COUNTRY / STATE]. Questions or complaints: [CONTACT EMAIL].
Responsible play: if gambling or betting is causing you problems, stop playing and get help, for example from [A LOCAL HELPLINE FOR YOUR COUNTRY].
